A big THANK YOU to those who helped to make Sunday's 'Prosecco Tournament a big success, in particular, Marc, Diane and Mike for the cooked breakfast, Mitch, Jennie, Annabel, Rob & Lynne for all their contributions, Sheila for the kind donation, and of course all of the 26 players who took part under the beating sun.
There was a great mix of young, and not so young, as well as male and female members, who played a series of 'round robin' matches in two groups.
After a 'play off' Roy and Paula were nudged out of the semi finals by George and Jennie & Chris and Nick from Group A.
Group B semi finalists were Stuart and Toby & also Kathy and Marc, who took Jennie and George to a dramatic 'tie break', before bowing out.
Stuart & Toby then succumbed to Nick & Chris in their semi final to set up a a tight final, contested by Jennie & George and Nick & Chris, with the latter running out winners.
