SPRING & SUMMER PLAY
Our two shale courts have been resurfaced for the Spring and are ready for play. We are open for singles and doubles play from dawn till dusk in the Spring and Summer months, once you become a member of the Club. Tuesdays 4-7pm, Friday 4-7pm and Sundays 9-12pm are our regular SOCIAL TENNIS sessions, with others being arranged by members ad hoc via our WhatsApp MTC Members group.
Further work and improvements to the courts will be made over the next few months
We strongly urge you to avoid playing tennis on days when EXTREME HEAT or a NATONAL EMERGENCY has been declared as there are serious risks to health.
WINTER TENNIS
- Our shale courts can be made unplayable in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain and frost, so extra care needs to be taken in during the winter months
- Please refer to the Winter Tennis section on our website for further details
- Your safety is of utmost importance at MTC so if in any doubt due to conditions please play it safe!

Moorpool Tennis Club
Moorpool Tennis Club has over 110 years of history, with our two shale courts within the hisorical Moor Pool Estate in Harborne, Birmingham.
We are a volunteer-led community tennis club offering a picturesque setting to play both social and competitive tennis, to socialise or to join in an exercise class, such as yoga or pilates. We offer individual and group coaching for all ages and abilities.
We welcome new members of any tennis ability and offer a family-friendly environment. As well as tennis-related events such as the annual doubles tournaments, we arrange social events for our members to sample the delights of Moor Pool and Harborne. Our Christmas meal, for example, was organised by one of our members and took place at the excellent Proud Sicilian café on Harborne High Street. We held our End of Season Meal at the wonderful Harborne Tandoori restaurant.
