The Club

Members of all ages can play daily between 8am and 11pm.

Guests are welcome to play with a GLTC member provided that a visitor fee is paid beforehand (please see the booking section for further information).

There are regular club social sessions; a tennis ladder; regular fun club tournaments where you can mix in with the other members for friendly matches.

The more competitive players can join one of our teams and play in local leagues and compete against other clubs, partake in coaching and participate in our annual club championships.

Social Tennis

If you like to play tennis just for the fun and exercise, there are open social tennis sessions where you can mix in with other members for friendly games. These are great opportunities to socialise with other members (all members are very welcome to join, no reservation necessary).

Gorleston Social Tennis Sessions:

  • Every Monday - GLTC Social Monday Tennis: 5:00pm - 8:00pm courts (1 & 2)
  • Every Wednesday - GLTC Social Wednesday Tennis: 9:30am – 12pm courts (1, 2 & 3)
  • Every Thursday - GLTC Social Thursday Tennis: 5:00pm - 8:00pm courts (1 & 2)
  • Every Saturday - GLTC Social Saturday Tennis: 1:30pm – 3:30pm courts (4 & 5)
  • Every Sunday - GLTC Social Sunday Tennis: 10:30am – 1pm courts (2 & 3)

 

There is also an ‘Anyone for Tennis’ WhatsApp group for members who would like a tennis

game but don’t have anyone to play with. Please text 07535553685 to be added to this group.

 

Junior Tennis

Juniors have priority for the courts from 16.30 to 18.30 Monday to Friday and 09.00 to 14.00 Saturday.

Juniors may play during adult times provided that at least one court is not required by adult members.

For the security of our juniors, there must be at least one designated adult present to supervise juniors on club premises.

 

The club has been registered on the easyfundraising website (please see link below). This organisation allows retailers to make donations to charities and good causes as a ‘thank you’ every time you shop online.  To use the scheme, simply register with easyfundraising & pick your chosen good cause - Gorleston Lawn Tennis Club.  Then when you are ready to shop online, just go to the easyfundraising website first and pick the website  you wish to shop with and the retailer selected will make a donation to our non-profit club each time you shop at no extra cost to you!  Thanks.
