Pickleball Comes to Grangewood!

 

Pickleball is a fun and fast-growing sport—a cross between tennis, badminton, and table tennis—played indoors or outdoors on a court about a quarter the size of a tennis court, with a slightly lower net. It’s considered easier to learn and less stressful on the body, while still offering a fun and competitive experience!

 

We’re excited to announce that Pickleball is now available at Grangewood!

 

 

 

Booking & Using the Pickleball Courts

 

  • Tennis Court 3 has yellow line markings for two Pickleball courts. It can be booked as usual via the BOOK page on the website or through the ClubSpark Booker App (available on the Apple Store or Google Play).
  • Pickleball nets, paddles, and balls are available for use and can be collected from the ladies’ toilets, located just to the left of the café. Please handle all equipment with care and return it to the same place after playing.

 

 

Pickleball is usually played as doubles, with rules similar to tennis but with a few adaptations. You can view the basic rules here:
