New members are very welcome at Greenwood Park LTC.
We cater for everyone from beginner to competitive match player and those just wanting to play tennis in a friendly social environment.
You are invited to attend up to 2 club social tennis sessions, to try out the club before joining (Adults: Thursday from 7pm or Sunday from 10am, Juniors: Friday from 4pm during term time). Please email membership@greenwoodtennis.com to let us know you will be attending, so that someone can look out for you and introduce you to the other players.

Membership Fees
Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
We do not offer part-year memberships, nor refunds for unwanted periods of membership. However membership fees are reduced by 25% every 3 months through the membership year (except Kidszone), so those joining part way through the year only pay for the remainder of the current membership year. The membership links at the bottom of this page are priced at the current rate.
The reduced rates for siblings are only for those with an older brother or sister paying the full rate in Junior, Teen or Student categories.
A new member joining during March may start playing immediately, getting up to 1 month free (but please note that 3 courts will be out of action for resurfacing during March 2025). After joining, please email the membership secretary to ask for your membership to be activated early (membership@greenwoodtennis.com). Memberships are activated automatically on 1st April.
Membership Payments
Using the links below you will be asked to pay for your membership by a single, non-recurring direct debit, via a company called GoCardless, or by credit card via a company called STRIPE. These are secure systems and no payment details are held by the Tennis Club.
Visitors
Members may book a court to play with a guest on payment of a visitor's fee of £4ph (£2ph for juniors), or bring them to club social sessions for £5 per visit (£2 for juniors). Guests are allowed to play a maximum of 4 times, after which they are expected to join the club or hire the public court (Court 5).
A parent may not play with a junior member on the main courts unless they are also a member. This does not apply to parents of Kidszone members on the mini-court.
Non-members may use Court 5 or the Kidszone mini-court for an hourly fee. See the Booking page. We don't have racquets and balls for hire.
British Tennis Membership
Members are encouraged to become British Tennis Members, which is free: www.lta.org.uk
British Tennis Membership is the Lawn Tennis Assiciation's scheme for individual participants in tennis. As Greenwood Park LTC is affiliated to the LTA, by joining the Club you are entitled to become a British Tennis Member at no additional cost. The benefits of British Tennis membership include entry into the club ballot for Wimbledon tickets; a player rating; a TeamCard (which is a way of collecting points when you shop, which you can redeem against tennis equipment) and discounts on tennis tickets (eg. Davis Cup). Also note that British Tennis Membership is now a requirement for participation in any Herts or Watford League inter-club tennis matches.
