Hey to all promising young tennis players! Yes, you!  Are you looking for somewhere fun to play, whilst making great new friends?  Then welcome to Grove Tennis Club!

Have you played before?  Is it your first time? No worries! We don't mind if you're an expert or if you have never picked up a racket before, we would love for you to play with us.

A Message from Our Junior Captain

Hi everyone!

At Grove we are very inclusive towards the junior members.  One of the ways we do this is by having a junior captain so that the juniors get a say in the big decisions at the club. The club offers individual and group lessons for juniors of all ages and capabilities. In the holidays there is often a holiday camp on weekdays that run for a week, where children of all abilities take part in a number of tennis activities. There us a junior social on a Sunday evening and this is perfect for families who want to introduce their children to tennis and give them a chance to play with the other juniors of all abilities, giving them a real sense for the game.

We have a “Special Junior” Membership where juniors who are of a good standard are invited to attend the adult sessions and play for the teams.

As well as the coaching sessions and the organised socials, Juniors are able to use the courts before 6pm to play with other juniors.  We have a stock of balls in the clubhouse starting with red spot for the beginners, through orange and green spot as the juniors get older and improve. We also have some spare racquets you can borrow.

If you have any ideas or concerns involving the juniors at the club you can email groveltcjuniorcaptain@gmail.com and I will address them to the committee and hopefully incorporate them into the club to create an all-round positive environment for the junior members at the club.

We run numerous camps through the year, especially in the summer, helping give young players a great run around.
