Court News

Dear members,

Our courts have just been re laid and the surface is fresh tarmac which needs to ‘cure’ for 4-5 weeks before playing characteristics and drainage will have settled down.

We would ask for your patience until the surface oils have been absorbed and the tarmac has cured fully.

Curing time will take a little longer in very cold spells, so we hope that we don’t get a prolonged spell of freezing weather.

Special care should be made when playing in the wet until the surface drainage has settled properly.

Only tennis shoes should be worn for play and ridged trainers or other shoes should not be worn otherwise the surface could get damaged.

The courts have temporary lines and they shall be painted in the spring when the threat of frost has past.

Best regards
