Walking Tennis

At Hartley we strongly believe that tennis should be available to all, so we are proud to support Walking Tennis.
As a growing sport, walking tennis is designed by the LTA so that almost anyone can play regardless of age or fitness.
We hold weekly sessions open to anyone who would like to join in.
What is the difference between traditional tennis and walking tennis.
- Played using low-pressurised balls (orange ball) on a full-size tennis court or a modified court.
- Allowed two bounces within the playing area.
- No running or jumping.
What are the benefits of Walking Tennis.
- Improved Fitness - Keeps you moving at a walking pace. You tend to find you rally more, enhancing your overall health.
- Enhanced Coordination - The nature of walking tennis allows for players to focus on precision and control.
- Low Impact excerise - It's a gentle workout played at a slower pace.
- Social interaction - Its the one thing we're proud of at Hartley. We are a friendly inclusive community that likes nothing better than getting together after a game to have a chat with refreshments either in the Country Club or our own Clubhouse.
