INGA ZIEMINA. Director of Coaching, LTA LEVEL 4 COACH. Development Coach of the Year 2023. 

My name is Inga Ziemina. I am originally from Latvia but have traveled and lived all over the world and currently reside in Cornwall, UK. 

As a junior I represented my country in many international tournaments and later in my playing career I went on to play for my University Team in the USA on a full tennis scholarship. Upon my graduation from OBU Business school in USA I started coaching tennis full time in prestigious Tennis Clubs and Country Clubs in Ohio, USA. 

My journey then took me to London, UK where I continued my studies in a Sports Degree and coached tennis on the side.

In London I worked for an international tennis academy, five star tennis venues and  several other programmes. 

In 2016 I started working for myself and building various state of the art tennis coaching programmes including Focus Tennis,  IngasTennisSchool and OtterAdventures!

2020 shook things up and very exciting events took place including my relocation to Devon. The South West coast and country has been a place of great wonder to me for many years and now I am grateful that I can be a part of this amazing community!

Focus Tennis and IngasTennisSchool is continuously shaping, evolving and reinventing itself. It is my hope that through our work we can inspire many more people and communities to take up sports in the years to come, so watch this space...

KATHERINE BELL (LTA LEVEL 3 COACH)

Hi,

My name is Katherine, I live in Plymouth with my husband, Justin and 2 cats and I love tennis as its enjoyable, social and fun to play.

I also play netball for a local club in Plymouth. I enjoy going to the beach swimming and surfing.

I started playing tennis at Exmouth Tennis Centre when I was 8. I then moved to Exeter and played at Victoria Park and played in the British College Finals for the South West.

I went to University of St Mark & St John and since then I have been a member at Mannamead and play in Division 1 in the Plymouth & District League

I am a Level 3 LTA coach. I will be coaching at Tavistock on Wednesday afternoons and also providing individuals for anyone. In one year, I hope that I can increase the number of lessons that I am doing and also encouraged the next generation of tennis players.

WILLIAM NEWMAN (LTA LEVEL 1 COACH)

Hi, I am Will. I love to play tennis as it keeps me fit and healthy, it is social and it is fun. 

My hobbies outside of tennis are woodworking, art, hiking and travel 

I have been playing tennis since my early teens 

I am currently a level 1 Assistant tennis coach and I see myself completing LTA instructor course (level 2) in the near future.
