Isla Hignett Coaching

Isla Hignett Coaching is run by me, Isla Hignett. Tennis has been a big part of my life since the age of 4. I have represented my County which is Hampshire and IOW since the age of 9 and have worked my way up to now being able to represent my County in the Ladies team. I also compete in County level and National level leagues. I am a big doubles fan!  My goal this year is to enter an ITF doubles event and compete in some Brit tour doubles events.

I have been coaching since the age of 14 and have continued to grow my coaching journey. As a coach I am commited, passionate and hard working and will help support children,  teenagers and adults with their tennis journey. Currenly I work for Sherfield School as one of the main tennis coaches in the programme working with students from the age of 4 to 16.  I also work for National Tennis Association based in Basingstoke where I mainly focus on encouraging more girls into tennis and keeping them in the sport by running "Girls Only"sessions. Furthermore, I work closely with the County by running events such as School Games where as a team of coaches we encourage primary school children to keep active and enjoy sports, such as tennis.  Secondly, I assist in the Under 9s  Hampshire and IOW County traning and assist at their County Cups. Lastly, I have been supporting in Regional Tennis Camps in the South West area where I work with high level juniors which is run by high level performance coaches.
