Isla Hignett Coaching

Hignett Coaching is run by me, Isla Hignett. Tennis has been a big part of my life since the age of 4. I have represented my County (Hampshire and IOW) since the age of 9 and have worked my way up to now being able to represent my County in the Ladies team. I also compete in County level and National level leagues. I am a big doubles fan!  

I have been coaching since the age of 14 and have continued to grow my coaching journey. As a coach I am commited, passionate and hard working and will help support children,  teenagers and adults with their tennis journey. Currenly I work for Sherfield School as one of the main tennis coaches in the programme, working with students from the age of 4 to 16 and the academy players.  I am currently Acting Director of Tennis there, a role which I am enjoying.

I also work for National Tennis Association based in Basingstoke where I mainly focus on encouraging more girls into tennis and keeping them in the sport by running "Girls Only"sessions and individual lessons. Furthermore, I work closely with the County and am currently the Captain of the Under 9s Hampshire and IOW County Team and run their training program and lead at the County Cup each year, having previously been the vice captain for a number of years.  I have also been supporting in Regional Tennis Camps in the South West area where I work with high level juniors which is run by high level performance coaches.  

I also run Tennis Camps in the school holidays, which have been a great success and something I really enjoy doing.
