Notes from the coach

The LTA Tennis Leaders Course is a recognised qualification for players who would like to support our team, either by assisting in our coaching sessions or at our Mini Tennis tournaments. All successful participants will receive a certificate and a T-shirt. They may even be offered future work on our programme. By the end of the course a Tennis Leader will: Understand the basics of tennis; strokes, game formats and variations of the sport. Understand how these variations of the game are used to introduce tennis to people of all ages and abilities. Effective communication and organisation skills. Put your skills into practice on court – in warm up activities and on court drills How to lead a practice session How to help at a competition The course runs over 4 days beginning on Monday 3rd April.
