Introduction
Jesus Green is an area of open parkland grass, divided by avenues of London Plane and horse chestnut trees.
It’s north of the city centre, bordered by the River Cam, Victoria Avenue and Jesus College.
The park is home to the Jesus Green Lido, 4 hard court tennis courts, 2 grass tennis courts as well as a children’s play area, a skate park, and free table tennis.
A beautiful scenic area that adds tranquility and calm, as well as inspiring place to take part in local leisure activities.

Parktennis also takes place every Saturday morning between 10-11am on the Jesus Green tennis courts. For more information, please visit the Parktennis website or contact the team at info@parktennis.org.

Please note: A charging model will come into effect on Monday 7th April 2025 and will consist of both off- peak and peak hours daily.
Peak hours will operate between 12.15pm - 2.30pm and 6.15pm onwards when available due to daylight hours. Peak courts will cost £5 per court.
Off- Peak courts will be £2 per court and will be 7am to 12.15pm, and 2.30pm to 6.15pm.
All courts timings will remain at 45 minutes per booking.
Other than Christ's Pieces and Jesus Green, all other council run tennis courts in the city remain free to use. You can turn up and play any time or, to reserve your slot, these can be booked on ClubSpark which gives you priority over those who haven't booked. Please note, Nightingale Avenue tennis courts are on the gated access system so booking is required however it is free to play.
