From Monday 6 April 2026, Peak and off- peak courts will no longer be in operation. We will be moving to a single charge model of £3.00 per court all day, everyday at Jeus Green and Christ's Pieces.
Introduction
Jesus Green is an area of open parkland grass, divided by avenues of London Plane and Horse Chestnut trees.
It’s north of the city centre, bordered by the River Cam, Victoria Avenue and Jesus College.
The park is home to the Jesus Green Lido, 4 hard court tennis courts, a children’s play area, skate park, and free table tennis. Please note, the grass tennis courts are now permanently closed.
A beautiful scenic area that adds tranquility and calm, as well as inspiring place to take part in local leisure activities.

Parktennis also takes place every Saturday morning between 10-11am on the Jesus Green tennis courts. For more information, please visit the Parktennis website or contact the team at info@parktennis.org.

A charging model is in effect and consists of both off-peak and peak hours daily.
Peak hours operate between 12.15pm - 2.30pm and 6.15pm onwards when available due to daylight hours. Peak courts cost £5 per court.
Off- Peak courts cost £2 per court and available between 7am - 12.15pm, and 2.30pm - 6.15pm.
As of Monday 6th April 2026, we will be changing the payment amount for bookings at Jesus Green and Christ's Pieces tennis courts.
We will no longer operate peak and off-peak court times and instead introduce a flat £3.00 fee for all courts during the day at these two venues only.
All courts timings will remain at 45 minutes per booking.
All other courts can be accessed at any time and are free to use.
**DURING WIMBLEDON, ALL COURTS ARE FREE ** (Booking still required)
Other than Christ's Pieces and Jesus Green, all other council run tennis courts in the city remain free to use. You can turn up and play any time or, to reserve your slot, these can be booked on ClubSpark which gives you priority over those who haven't booked.
Please note, Nightingale Avenue tennis courts are on the gated access system so booking is required however it is free to play.
