I am delighted, together with the Deal and Dover Park Tennis CIC, to be part of the East Kent Community Programme supported by the Tasso Foundation in association with RMG Associates.  This enabled me to deliver a tennis outreach project in 2024/25 in Deal and Dover to 4 primary schools, each with a high pupil premium level. Using my extensive experience of delivering an inclusive tennis programme within a local primary school with a high level of pupil premium, the schools’ outreach project has been devised to help the enrolled schools to be self-sufficient in their tennis provision.

Now in 2025/2026, I am delighted that this tennis outreach programme has grown and evolved further, so that 4 more primary schools and 2 senior schools in the Deal and Dover area are receiving tennis coaching, now mostly through curriculum lessons, so increasing our outreach.

In summer 2025, the East Kent Community Tennis Programme held its Celebration Tennis Festival on Tuesday 10th June.  It was great to be part of the organising team who delivered this Festival and everyone was delighted that the Festival proved a huge hit. Almost 100 children from 8 different primary schools across Dover, Deal and Thanet had the chance to try and learn about different types of inclusive tennis, as well as have lots of tennis fun!
