The Tennis Committee is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Long as our new Head Coach effective from August 12th. Andrew has been a club member for the last 9 years representing our top men’s teams. Two years ago he decided to change career and become a tennis coach and he has successfully gained his Lawn Tennis Association Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 coaching qualifications. He fully deserves this elevation having demonstrated an infectious enthusiasm and talent for his new vocation. We also very much appreciate his wider contribution to club life including engagement with members, organising the club tournament, transforming the tennis pavilion (with lots of help from Shivani), managing the development and maintenance of the courts and even occasionally serving at the bar.
All bookings for coaching at the club should be made only through Andrew. Sessions may be delivered by Andrew directly or our other coaches under Andrew’s management.
