Kinnoull Tennis Club

On Saturday 9th November, Kinnoull Tennis Club held their first Annual Awards and Quiz Night in Kinnoull Bowling Club, the event was sold out and those who attended enjoyed a fantastic evening which started with Awards for Junior Members, Male and Female Players Player of the Year, Team of the Year and three Outstanding Contribution awards were handed out for service and commitment to the Club over many years.

Junior Members - The three Awards in 2024 were Most Improved Junior:  Mairi Colville,  Ollie Award: Tristan Cornulier, and Junior Player of the Year: Evie Calderwood

Team of the Year - Mens Singles and Doubles Team who won the Tennis Tayside Singles / Doubles Division 2 and are now promoted to Division 1 - they were unbeaten over the fixtures played. Team Captain - Cameron Clark, Rory Mclaren, Finlay Jarvis, Howard Finch, Finlay Becher, Ross and Lewis Liddell and Marcus Mclaren 

Ladies Players Player of the Year- Eileen Dunbar for her own court performance over the season and for organisng three successful social events at the Club 

Mens Players Player of the Year - Billy Mclaren for his overall performance and commitment to the Club with an outstanding performance at this year's Highland Event in Pitlochry 

Allan Burt, Douglas Connor and Steffi Anderson received awards for their contributions to the Club, both on the court and as part of the Committee over many years.

A quiz was held with our guest quizmaster Robin Nicholson doing an excellent job with six rounds of questions , this was followed by an auction. Food was supplied by Tabla.

The night raised over £4,000 which is going directly towards the cost of the new courts.  The Committee would like to thank the genorisity for those who attended and made the night fun and a huge success. 

Special thanks must go to the team at Kinnoull Bowling Club who helped and supported the event, the Quiz team, Andy Ritchie for undertaking the role of MC for the night, Tabla Restaurant for providing the food and to the Committee at Kinnoull Tennis Club for their time and effort in making the night a huge success.  Thanks also to Kenny Alexander and Lawrence Haddow for donating two excellent prizes for the auction and raffle.
