Hello everyone!
My name is Emily and I’m delighted to be a club co-captain here at Latika for 2022. I have been at the club for nearly 10 years and can’t think of a single minute I haven’t enjoyed playing or coaching with Matt and the team. I’m sure Ollie would agree that our main aim this year will be to inspire our younger members to improve their tennis through having lots of fun!
I would like to thank Bethany for her hard work throughout this past year. Her dedication is admirable and hopefully we can do an equally impressive job following in her footsteps.
I truly can’t imagine my life without Latika. It has been my home away from home since I was eight and I have met my closest friends here as well as created memories that will last a lifetime. I am currently captain of the Girls under 18’s team and a level one coach with about four years of coaching experience. I was also lucky enough to be a ball- girl at the ATP tour finals at the O2 in 2020! If you see me around the club please do say hello. As club captains we are here to be a voice for all our members, so come and have a chat if you have any questions or enquiries. Looking forward to seeing everyone on court soon!

Hello!
My name is Ollie and it is my great honour to be Club Co-Captain for this coming year!
2021 has been such a challenging year once again, so I want to start by saying a huge thank you to my predecessor Bethany for being such an incredible representation of Latika this past year. Through all her time committed to playing and coaching, she has helped to ensure we’ve continued to have such a community feel as a club, even through lockdowns.
It therefore seems only apt that the both of Emily and I are needed to continue this legacy, and I can’t think of anyone better to share this role with.
I have had the privilege of playing tennis at Latika since the age of 9, and I credit the club both with instilling me with a love of tennis, as well as building my confidence in tennis and my wider life - plus the added benefit of introducing me to friends that I’ll keep for life.
I am a Level 1 Coach and have been lucky enough to aid in the provision of incredible coaching led by Matt and the rest of the team. I have truly loved seeing the growth and improvement in the ability of our players of all ages throughout the two years I’ve coached at Latika, and I cannot wait to see all this next year brings!
In this role, I will representing the voice of the Latika players at committee meetings and club events, so if you see me around I would love to be able to have conversations with as many of you as possible before my year is up! Keep tennis-ing and have a Happy New Year!
