LMTC is nearly at the half way stage of the mixed winter league and are currently sitting in 2nd place! The team has currently won 20 from 24 points.

On 30th October we hosted Barry CTC in what was another close affair. The match was tied 2-2 in rubbers won but two decisive victories over the BCTC 2nd pair meant that LMTC were the victors on game countback. Congratulations to Lisa-Marie Morris, Gareth Jones, Neil Davies and Dawn Howles for securing the win.

On 20th November the team travelled to league leaders Llantrisant where we discovered the reason why they are safely sitting at the top of the table. Vicki Seaton, Dawn Howles, Roger Williams and Neil Davies put up a valiant and competitive effort which resulted in a 3-1 defeat. The result could have been 2-2 but Neil and Vicki were just pipped to the post 10-8 in the 3rd set tiebreak.

Last weekend’s return match vs Barry was postponed due to slippery courts and so will be played in the new year.
