About Us

Long Sutton Village Hall and Recreation Ground

Situated at the northerly end of Martock Road and set in over seven acres of playing fields and recreation grounds, the Hall and adjacent Sports Pavilion serve the very active community of Long Sutton and its neighbourhood.

The venue is used extensively for a wide variety of activities including society meetings, craft workshops, fitness, dance, yoga and parties, and its 200-seat capacity and large tarmac car park make it ideal for talks and musical events.

Partnering with the LTA

Together with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) we have invested in the refurbishment of two tennis courts in Long Sutton to ensure that quality facilities are available for the local community.

The project is part of a nationwide investment by the UK Government and LTA Tennis Foundation, delivered by the LTA, to refurbish public tennis courts across Great Britain, and open up the sport to many more people. This investment will see thousands of existing tennis courts in poor or unplayable condition brought back to life for the benefit of communities across the country through renovation works, and improved court accessibility with new gate-access technology and booking systems.

Local tennis courts are vital in providing opportunities for children and adults to get active whilst delivering significant physical and mental health and wellbeing benefits to participants. Long Sutton Village Hall and Recreation Ground are delighted to offer two fantastic tennis courts, delivering accessible tennis to our communities.
