Lowlands Table Tennis: Play Your Way!
Welcome to the Lowlands Club Table Tennis (TT) Section. We are a thriving community offering both highly competitive league play and relaxed social sessions.
Please note, Lowlands is a members’ club and our facilities are not available for public booking.
Visiting the Club
Members are welcome to invite a guest to play for a small visitor fee (£3 per player per session). Please note that a guest is limited to four visits. After this, membership is required to continue using the club’s TT facilities.
The Lowlands TT Facility
Our table tennis hall provides an excellent setting for all levels of play.
- We have three new Donic (blue) tables (purchased in 2024) reserved exclusively for League matches and team practice.
- A dedicated green table is available for social play.
- The hall can comfortably accommodate up to three tables for competitive match play and team practice.
Important Note: The table tennis hall is a multi-functional facility. League matches, practice, and social play must be pre-booked following the process below.
Competitive TT: League and Practice Group
Lowlands is a major contributor to the Wembley & Harrow Table Tennis League, fielding 9 teams this season. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of play.
- League Match Nights: The hall is reserved for Home matches on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, starting promptly at 7:30 pm.
- The League Season: The Winter League and cup competitions run from late September through early April. You can track our teams’ progress on the Wembley & Harrow Table Tennis League website.
Joining the League & Practice Group
This membership category is for players who wish to play competitively.
- Playing Assessment is Required: To ensure our teams remain competitive, the Table Tennis Sub-committee (TTSC) assesses all new players before joining our League and Practice group and prior to offering a team place. The required standard is determined by the TTSC and may vary.
- How to Apply: If you are interested in a Lowlands (League) TT Membership, please email info@lowlandsclub.com
- In your email, please set out details of your existing playing level, duration, and experience (e.g. club name, League division, ranking).
- Your details will be forwarded to the TTSC, who will be in touch to discuss and arrange your playing assessment.
Note for Existing Club Members: If you are a Tennis or Social member and wish to transition to competitive TT, please contact a member of the TTSC to arrange an assessment.
Social TT at Lowlands
Looking for a friendly game? The Club also provides a dedicated table for Social TT, available to all Tennis and Social Club members.
- Finding Partners: To access this facility and find other players easily, members should request to join the Club’s TT Affinity Group (often via WhatsApp). This group is also used for making social TT bookings.
- Social TT Membership: If your primary interest is social play, please email info@lowlandsclub.com with your enquiry.

We offer high-quality coaching, primarily for Juniors, through Mitchell Jones, a qualified UKCC Level 2 Lead Coach. Mitchell is a top-level player who achieved a top 8 England Junior ranking. Coaching sessions are arranged and paid for directly with Mitchell.

Members Only: How to Book a TT Session
All Club members MUST pre-book a table tennis session. Unbooked play is not permitted.
1. Check Availability: Refer to the Events Calendar on the Lowlands website at to check if the hall is generally free.
- Note: This calendar only shows League matches and the Junior coaching session. The hall may occasionally be unavailable due to other TT bookings.
- Friday and Sunday mornings are typically reserved for League players and new player assessments
2. Send a Booking Request: Use WhatsApp via the TT League Group (for practice) or the TT Affinity Group (for social play). Please do not send booking requests to the info@lowlandsclub.com email address as they will not be responded to. Please include the following details:
- Full names of ALL members (and any visitors).
- Day and date of booking request.
- Your approximate start and finish time (to allow fair usage).
Please give reasonable notice, preferably at least 24 hours.
3. Use the Correct Table: Our three Donic (blue) tables are reserved for League play only. Social TT must only take place on the green table, which is stored in the first section of the hall storage area.
4. Tidy Up: At the end of your session, table(s) and nets must be returned to the storeroom. All players are responsible for the care and tidy storage of the equipment, ensuring the hall is clean and ready for the next users.
