How to find us
Mansfield Lawn Tennis Club
Pheasant Hill, Chesterfield Road
Many people are unaware that Mansfield has a Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) affiliated club, but Mansfield Lawn Tennis Club (MLTC) has actually been around for more than 100 years. The club has four grass courts, five hard courts (3 are floodlit), parking and a brand new clubhouse. The floodlit courts mean that our club is the only place in the Mansfield district that can offer a chance to play tennis in the evenings, all year-round. The site is owned and maintained by the club and while we are a members club, we wish to promote the game of tennis in the community. We have a range of members, of all abilities from four years to over 80 years old!
Our Covid-19 reponse
In the current Covid-19 pandemic tennis is one of the few sports that everyone can particpate in but with many people facing financial uncertainty the club has decided that it will slash its membership fees for the 2020/21 season by 50%. Find out more about the half price memberships on offer at MLTC.
MLTC is committed to giving more people the chance to enjoy tennis, whether just for fun with friends or for those interested in developing their game, entering competitions and representing their club. We strive to be a down-to-earth club with a friendly welcome and as well as tennis, there are social events throughout the year. Our aim as club members is to have fun and enjoy playing tennis. The club is run by volunteers and it's mangement group focuses on ensuring well maintained playing facilities.
The only additional costs on top of membership are for coaching or floodlight tokens. The only requirements for membership are the desire to play tennis and a respect forthe club and its rules. There are no interviews or playing tests to pass, we have an open access policy and there is no 'white clothing' rule. If you would like to learn more about tennis and the opportunities for coaching, why not come along to one of our open days?
