TEAMS
At Maresfield LTC we are involved in a variety of inter-club competitions and are always looking to provide the opportunity for both established and new members to play in matches.
We have Men's and Ladies' teams running in both summer and winter leagues. These teams cover a range of abilities from county level down to regular club player, so there’s a team to suit everyone and we are always looking to add to our squad numbers.
The majority of the matches are doubles, but the top Men’s and Ladies' teams also play singles.
Most matches take place at the weekend, although, on Monday evenings in the summer there is also the Horam league competition which sees clubs play each other home and away.

Regional - Ladies 1st Team
(matches consist of four singles rubbers followed by two doubles rubbers)
Sussex - Men's 1st Team
(this team play in both a singles and doubles league. Singles are four rubbers, Doubles are four rubbers with opposite pairs swapping for second rubber)
Sussex - Ladies 2nd Team (this team play doubles only)

These teams consist of four players playing doubles.
The Weald League was set up as a sociable competition, and although the higher divisions might be a little more serious, they are generally played in a friendly atmosphere. Our teams tend to float around the mid to lower tier divisions.
Each match comprises 3 doubles rubbers: 1 Men’s, 1 Ladies’ and 1 Mixed.
There is typically a home and away fixture against each club.
