MDTC descended on The Shrewsbury Club in force and made it known that they were there, not only vocally, but by going and winning the competition...massive congratulations to our club chairman, Dave Williams 👏👏👏. All our other players were let down by their professional partners 😂.

Many thanks to all of you who supported tonight’s event. It was the first time this tournament has run here-it’s a big deal in uk tennis terms and hopefully we will have it back next year. 
It was a risk to run tonight’s event but I think it was a great success, helped in a very big way by our club. This , together with good levels of spectators will be factors in deciding whether we get it back next year. As a county we punch way above our weight with the quality of tournaments we get and that is because we have a reputation for getting out dnd supporting them. 
So thanks to all of you for supporting this and well done to Dave (and Freya-our honorary market Drayton player-do you think she is busy Tuesday night??)
And Dave FYI-that lad who beat you was it 13-11 in the first match? He is a US open junior doubles champion 🤣 - Fiona Jones
