A walk on the canalside

Another lovely walk with great company. If you haven't joined us before on one of these walks, you must do so in the future, you'll love them.

From the pen of Matt Bridge:

“Awesome”, “Thumbs-Up”, “Boggy”!!!  Just some of the rave reviews from the last walk!!!

As you will be aware, we embarked on a post-Christmas activity in an attempt to walk off some of the additional pounds gained and have a general chinwag.

We met at the Buttercross promptly (a really good turnout) and were joined shortly later by the Bridges who have yet to arrive at any tennis event on time!  We collected some others along the route and then set-about the 22.7 km return trip to Audlem.   If you want to read more about it – then you can visit alltrails.com where Kerry and Tom (who aro Pro’s at walking) gave glowing reviews;  “overall a decent walk, pretty clear and flat throughout. pubs at each end.“ & you know what, it’s true – it was a decent walk - with a pub at the end, although I don’t think Kerry can have had such an engaging group to walk with.  We chatted, laughed, ploughed through a couple of muddy parts and stopped halfway through for a deserved drink!

The return was a slightly smaller group who, fuelled by beer and gusto, managed to arrive back in Market Drayton just as it was getting dark.

Once again, another successful outing.  No one got left behind and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.   A huge thanks to Zoe and Rob for organising.

Looking forward to the next one, with an even larger turn out!
