Our Free Beginner & “Rusty Rackets” Tennis Coaching programme for over-35s got off to a brilliant start on Tuesday 13 January, with 13 players attending and all courts in use at Market Drayton Tennis Club.

Despite a cold evening, conditions stayed dry and spirits were high as players took to the courts under the expert guidance of coach Lyle Akins. The session was full of fun and encouragement, with beginners and returning players quickly getting into the swing of things.

The good news? It’s not too late to join.
New players are very welcome to join from next week, with equipment provided and no previous experience needed.

This 8-week programme focuses on enjoying tennis in a relaxed, social environment — improving skills, fitness, and confidence while meeting new people.
