A happy new year to all our members! After all the holiday indulgence, we're looking forward to welcoming everyone back onto the courts.
- The club's AGM is taking place on March 7 at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to come down and take part.
- For pay and play users of the tennis court, there will now be a £4 fee per hour for use of the floodlights. Members can continue to enjoy use of the floodlights for free.
- If you are interested in playing match tennis and aren't already doing so, please get in touch with the club through marnhulltennisclub@gmail.com. We are looking at a range of opportunities for competitive tennis in 2025 and hope to include as many people as possible.
- The ball machine is available for use for £5 per hour for adult members and free for junior members. Please contact Tom Lee at marnhulltennisclub@gmail.com if you would like to make a booking. Please do so at least a day in advance to avoid any scheduling issues.
- Finally, we would like to say a big thank you to John Seear, who has been a key member of the Marnhull Tennis Club Committee for many years. John has been the driving force behind many club initiatives, including our juniors programme, hitting partners, resurfacing the courts and more. Although he has resigned from his position on the committee, he will continue to play a crucial part in the club, including running his extremely popular rusty rackets session on Wednesday evenings. Thank you, John!
Welcome
Marnhull Tennis Club welcomes all local and visiting tennis players, from beginners to county players, to our friendly club situated on the recreation ground off Burton Street in Marnhull, Dorset.
Much of our communication with members is done through this website, but we will also send out email updates regarding upcoming activities or significant news.
Becoming a Member
We are one of the most affordable tennis clubs in Dorset, with adult memberships starting from just £60 and junior memberships a mere £15! All members are able to book courts for free and take part in a whole range of activities, including:
- Weekly club sessions
- Club tournaments
- Team league matches
- Regular social events like fun days and season openers

New to the Club?
If you have just joined the club and want to meet some of the other members, we hold regular club sessions three times a week. These include evenings that are geared towards beginners as well as meetups for more experienced players. Head over to our What's On page for more information.
Booking a Court
Members can book courts using the online court booking sytem up to three weeks in advance.
Non-members and visitors can also book courts on a ‘pay and play’ basis for £8 per court per hour.
Coaching
Coaching is available from LTA qualified coach Graham Howell. Please visit the coaching page for more information, as well as details on adult and junior coaching courses.
Using the Ball Machine
Our Lobster ball machine is available for members to hire at £5 per hour for adults and free for juniors. See the bookings page for more details.
