We have accumulated quite a bit of lost property over the last few months. If you think you might have left clothing, a water bottle or other items on the court, please make sure to check the toilet in the pavilion to see if your missing belongings have been recovered. Any property that goes unclaimed for a month may be disposed of by the club.

Ever thought about taking up tennis? Or do you know a friend who might enjoy a new sport? We're offering free trial sessions for non-members the first four Wednesday evenings in April. Please encourage your friends and/or family to ‘have a go’ at this excellent game. You don’t need rackets or balls to try this out, just email jeremyhamer7@gmail.com with your mobile number and join us next Wednesday at 5pm at the Marnhull tennis courts, situated on the recreation ground.

Marnhull Tennis Club has been named the 2026 Small Club of the Year by the Dorset Tennis & Padel! The accolade is open to all county clubs with three courts or less and is given to the most well governed, thriving and sustainable grassroots club. Committee member Chris Gregory was also Highly Recommended for the Dorset Volunteer of the Year Award, due in no small part to his tireless efforts organising the weekly social sessions as well as his hard work as club secretary.

Marnhull will be hosting a Play Your Way to Wimbledon tournament on April 25 for Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles. All club members are welcome to enter - just find yourself a partner and save the date! The winners will progress to the Area Finals, where they will compete against regional teams for a chance to play on Wimbledon's prestigious courts. Sign up is now open.
Welcome
Marnhull Tennis Club welcomes all local and visiting tennis players, from beginners to county players, to our friendly club situated on the recreation ground off Burton Street in Marnhull, Dorset.
Much of our communication with members is done through this website, but we will also send out email updates regarding upcoming activities or significant news.
Becoming a Member
We are one of the most affordable tennis clubs in Dorset, with adult memberships starting from just £72 and junior memberships a mere £20. All members are able to book courts for free and take part in a whole range of activities, including:
- Weekly club sessions
- Club tournaments
- Team league matches
- Regular social events like fun days and season openers

New to the Club?
If you have just joined the club and want to meet some of the other members, we hold regular club sessions three times a week. These include evenings that are geared towards beginners as well as meetups for more experienced players. Head over to our What's On page for more information.
Booking a Court
Members can book courts using the online court booking sytem up to three weeks in advance.
Non-members and visitors can also book courts on a ‘pay and play’ basis for £8 per court per hour.
Coaching
Coaching is available from LTA qualified coach Graham Howell. Please visit the coaching page for more information, as well as details on adult and junior coaching courses.
Lost Property
Any items left on the court will be moved to the toilet for safekeeping. If it is not claimed after a month, the club may dispose of any unclaimed property as appropriate.
Using the Ball Machine
Our Lobster ball machine is available for members to hire at £5 per hour for adults and free for juniors. See the bookings page for more details.
