About Me

I am a Level 3 LTA qualified and accredited coach. I have a degree in sports coaching science and also completed an LTA Level 3 apprenticeship in tennis coaching. I am first aid trained, mental health first aid trained and safeguard trained, and hold a valid DBS. In 2021 I was awarded Development Coach of the Year for Warwickshire for my work with grass roots tennis. I work closely with the Lawn Tennis Association, to provide high quality tennis coaching, and am part of their recognised venue's scheme, which is awarded to coaching programmes and clubs that offer a high standards in Youth Coaching.

I started my coaching career volunteering at Halesowen Tennis Club and volunteering with Toddler Tennis. I then took up a tennis apprenticeship with The Edgbaston priory Club. During my time there I worked my way up at the club, coaching at their community venues, Lordswood and Cannon Hill Park. I was part of the coaching team at Cannon Hill Park when the venue won LTA Community venue of the Year in 2016.

In 2019 I took the role of Head of Community at Edgbaston Priory Club, running their then 4 community venues.

I have now set up my own community tennis coaching business, and am Head Coach at 3 venues, Kings Norton Tennis Club, The Circle Tennis Club and Woodlands Northfield Tennis Club, and work full time running their coaching programs, along with a team of qualified tennis coaches and assisstants.

I am passionate about sport and coaching and providing tennis opportunities to all. My focus is on community tennis and using tennis to increase opportunities for both children and adults in local areas.

Along with my Level 3 qualification, I have also taken additional training. I am fully trained LTA Tennis for Kids coach, have completed LTA youth courses, and am also trained to run adult Cardio Tennis sessions.
