Methlick Community Council has dedicated time to fundraise and build an all-weather multi use games area (also known as a MUGA) within their King George V Park. These fantastic facilities are for everyone within and out with the Methlick Community to use.
The MUGA project was the 3rd phase of a long-term community vision to support a more physically active community with purposeful and inclusive facilities, as it steadily grows following multiple housing developments and the arrival of new families. Our aim is to continually improve the sporting facilities within the Methlick community infrastructure.
King George V Park is currently community owned and insured by Methlick Community Council. The current park also features recently upgraded small and large football pitches with a sports pavilion for changing (2012) and a revitalised play park following community consultation (2013). The MUGA is a latest addition to King George V Park.
The Methlick village and surrounding areas is very active community and takes a lot of pride in ensuring Methlick stays a vibrant, attractive and caters to all social, economic and demographics needs. Such projects are repeatedly driven with a lot of passion to succeed by Methlick Community Council.
Now it’s time to use and enjoy these new facilities.
