Last week, Nailsea Tennis Club was delighted to celebrate a very special milestone as our longest-standing member, Sue, turned 80!

Sue is believed to have been a member of the club for over 50 years, making her a familiar and much-loved presence on our courts. What makes this milestone even more impressive is that Sue is still an active player, coming down to the club around three times a week to enjoy her tennis.

She regularly plays mixed doubles, ladies’ doubles, and ladies’ singles, and continues to do so with the same enthusiasm, determination and love for the game that she has shown for decades. Sue is a brilliant example of how tennis can be enjoyed at any age, and her commitment to both the sport and the club is truly inspiring.

We feel incredibly lucky to have Sue as part of the Nailsea Tennis Club family, and we hope she knows just how much she is admired by fellow members.
