Local MP visits Nailsea Tennis Club in support of sport and community wellbeing

On 7th June, we were delighted to receive a visit from Sadik Al-Hassan, Labour MP for North Somerset. The visit marked a show of support for sport in the area and highlighted the club’s important role in promoting healthy lifestyles and community engagement.

During the visit, Mr Al-Hassan met with coaches, young players, and the chairman to learn more about the club, the facilities and everything that the club has to offer. The MP praised the club’s commitment to making tennis accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and acknowledged the important role local sports clubs play in enhancing mental and physical wellbeing.

The club hopes the visit will inspire more local residents to pick up a racket and come and play some tennis, regardless of age or ability.

The facilities and membership provides residents of Nailsea and beyond the perfect opportunity to stay active, connect with others, and develop healthier lifestyles and improve wellbeing.

If you’re interested in playing tennis this summer, you are welcome to come and join us for a free club play session. Get in touch to find out more and we’ll be happy to help. We have evening and daytime sessions available as well as plenty of times across the week where you can book a court to play.
