Ben Marshall will be undertaking a torchlight tennis marathon to raise funds to help improve club infrastructure and resources. The marathon will run from 6pm on Saturday 22nd June to 6am on Sunday 23rd June and will be completed without floodlights and with only a head torch during the night.

The 12 hour marathon is one of a number of events being planned by the Club and will follow on from the Liss Village  Festival planned for the afternoon of saturday 22nd June and running from 1-5pm.

The torchlight marathon will start with a traditional club doubles tournament for everyone to join in tournament (format to be decided) and hopefully accompanied by a BBQ and other refereshments

Any funds raised by Ben will contribute towards long-term improvements to Infrastructure in and around the courts. This will begin with plans to complete the refurbishment of the pavilion club room. This was started in 2023 with the installation of a new kitchen and we hope to complete the remaining work in 2024 with the installation new seating and improved storage to make the space open and welcoming and better able to support social activities .

Following this, the club has plans to replace its aging and energy ineffecient floodlights with a greener LED technology. 

These are both expensive projects and every little helps.
