Phase two of the Mitchell room refurbishment has received a boost with a successful Community Chest grant award from the EHDC Community Lottery .

Phase 2 improvments are scheduled for August 2024.  The club is planning to organise a village clubs and societies festival on 22nd June 2024 with funds raised by the club going towards phase 2 improvements.

Phase one improvments included the installation  of a new kitchen and were completed in December 2023. Phase two is planned to complete the work to  create a space that is open and welcoming with improved facilities including:

• enhanced open kitchen with increased surface area for food prepartion and display
• increased storage space with easier access
• permanent seating to support social activity before, during and after events
• retention of a flexible space to setup a table for up to eight people.

The grant for £1000 will support phase two redevlopment of the Mitchell room in the Pavilion which is planned for August 2024.

The EHDC community chest grant will support this development and will be used alonsgide existing club funds and planned fundrasiing activity by the club including a vllage festival  on Saturday 22nd June to be followed by a torchlight tennis marathon.
