SENSORY SPORT COURSE

Sense have developed a Sensory Sport programme which provides opportunities for people with complex disabilities to participate in traditional sports in a person-centred and meaningful way. We have been working with five National Governing Bodies to develop resources, equipment offers and training package for Sensory Tennis, Football, Badminton, Snooker and Rounders.

A virtual training workshop is available for any coaches who may be interested in delivering our Sensory Sport model. The next training date is Monday 3rd June 6.00pm – 8.30pm.

The workshop will cover:

  • An introduction to complex disabilities
  • Why we have developed the Sensory Sport model
  • Adapting activities to suit the needs of people with complex disabilities
  • Planning and evaluating your activities

Following this training, you will have the option to gain further in-person support to help you set up your sensory sport sessions, and have access to our resources and equipment.
