The first match of the season for the ladies 2nd team proved to a very wet and disappointing match.

The ladies got off to a good start with both teams fighting back to 1 set all after losing the first set. They then both lost in the final set tie break so it was all to play for in the remaining rubbers.

Jo Dalietos and Catherine Fern had a spendid 2nd rubber winning in straight sets but the other pair of Liz Newsholme and Sheila Williams did not fare as well and they lost their rubber.

The match ended in a 1-3 loss for the home team but it was a close run thing and but for a few key points we could have been sitting on a 3-1 win.
