The 2023 club finals day was held on Sunday 24th September. The day started with a social tournament, followed by lunch, with the club finals held in the afternoon. The weather was doubtful but the club decided to go ahead as the club did nto want to disappoint the 18 entrants for the social tournament, the highest number of entries for a tournament this year.
The friendly format was enjoyed by all and the top players, Carol Slater, Maisie Anderson, Matei Balasa and Nina Harney competed in the final, with Carol and Maisie coming out on top.
There were 4 finals to complete, ladies singles, mens singles, ladies handicap doubles and mixed handicap doubles. Maisie was definitely the player of the day, as well as winning the social tournament with Carol, she also won the ladies singles and the mixed doubles. Well done Maisie. The photos show the winners plus club chairman, Gary Edwards, presenting the trophies.
