Junior Coaching is BACK
Welcome to our new head coach Dan Burgess, who will be running the junior coaching programme.
Coaching will be starting back up again from 22nd April and is now bookable for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Please use the calendar setting to view the sessions.
For this half a term coming up the coaching will be provided by Dan on Saturday and Olivia (from Clevedon tennis club) on Wednesdays and Thursdays. After half term Dan will be full time at the club and the programme will extend further.

2025/26 Membership Packages are now live!
For current members you can access early-bird rates for renewing your existing membership by logging into your clubspark account and going to your profile. Use the pulldown menu in the very top right of the webpage, select your name, and then locate "Your memberships" page on your profile. Failing that, look out for a personalised link to renew your memberships that will also sent by email shortly.

PAY and PLAY Courts
You can book a court as a non-member, at certain times. To do this, go to the Booking section and click on a time slot with a price. If a court is already booked, it is marked with a padlock symbol.
Pay and play bookings are £5 per half hour during the day, and £6 per half hour in the evening with floodlights included.
When you book, you receive a one-off code for access via the new electronic gate which is at the bottom of the steps down from Esplanade Road.
About the Club
Welcome To PTC
Portishead Tennis Club is a thriving local club with five all weather LED floodlit courts located at Portishead Lake Grounds. We currently have over 300 members from ages 3 to 75+.
The club is here to promote tennis for all in Portishead and the surrounding area. We welcome new members all year round, and non-members are welcome to use the courts for pay and play. We are also keen to work with local community groups to promote tennis.
Pay and Play is available to book through this website, or you can join the club as a member and then play as much as you want for free. Whether to just meet some new people at friendly club sessions, and parties or play more seriously in league matches and tournaments, we have tennis at all standards both adult and junior.
We have a qualified head coach Dan Burgess who runs a full programme of one to one and group coaching for both junior and adult players throughout the year. Coaching is available to members and non-members and can be booked at Dan Burgess Coaching .
Throughout the year we offer:
- Regular club social sessions
- Juniors and Adult training and fun improvers sessions
- For experienced players, we have regular play and teams entered in both the Avon Winter and Summer Leagues
- A thriving junior section with teams competing in local leagues
- A variety of tournaments and events throughout the year for full members.

The club (Portishead Tennis Club Ltd.) is not for profit and is run entirely by volunteer members.
2025-26 Memberships Now Online
Please use the clubspark membership pages to apply for new memberships or to renew memberships (after logging in using your LTA credentials of course). Please note that all payments must now be processed using the integrated GoCardless facility - please do not use bank transfers. Please also take a moment to make sure your contact details are correct including DOB for Junior and Young Adult members in particular. Select your preferred available time and book. You can pay online with most major credit cards. Register online the first time you book.
3. Confirmation
We'll send you confirmation of your booking. You'll receive a pin number to access the venue. It's easy!
