Encouraging girls to participate in tennis

Below is a letter from the LTA about a 'workshop' aimed at women and girls to get more of their friends involved in tennis.

"Hello Everyone

I hope you are well and had a great summer! In two weeks’ time I am running a she rallies 'double header' workshop showcasing Lil’ Miss Hits & Teen Tennis on ONE day, primarily this is for the Brownie & Guide Leaders across Avon area to engage them in our 'mission' to get more girls playing and participating in tennis BUT we are also opening it out to all ladies who might like to come and join in whether you be a club member, tennis player, parent, teacher, teaching assistant or a keen 'tennisy person'.

DATE : SATURDAY 14th SEPTEMBER 

TIME : 9.30 - 2.30pm (or drop in for a bit if you’re busy) 

PLACE :  St Brendan's College, Brislington

COST : FOC

If you have any queries please ask, if you are already a trained Activator, maybe you have members/friends/girls/ladies who could join you in your club/setting to get some girls only groups going, please feel free to send tennis leaders/players, girls from aged 14/15 yrs upwards , they are welcome to join us, let's get training the next generation.

There are still Kit Bags available, but only for venues that have not had one yet.
