The annual Open Mixed Tournament was held on Sunday 7th October and saw 15 pairs take part and a total of £350 was raised for the National Autistic Society, thank-you to all contributors.

The weather was great and the tennis was of a high quality and hotly contested during round robin, quarter, semi and final stages for both main and plate competitions.  A fine selection of sandwiches, cakes and drinks provided much needed sustenance for players and spectators alike.

Some very impressive semis and finals were played and in the main competition final, Andy Dickinson and Rhae Honey (from Minety) triumphed against Christian Blair and Phil Plunkett.    In the plate final, Brian Rutherford and Gill Tatum just edged the match on a tie break against Chris Harris and Bev Birkett.
