FAQs

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions page. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please get in touch!

I am thinking of joining, can I come and try it out?

Yes! We recommend attending one of the social tennis sessions to meet some of the members in an informal setting, see the club and have a friendly game. Please send us an email if this is something you would like to do!

How do I access the courts?

If you are attending a social session or club night, you should be able to walk straight in through the outer door (the handle can be stiff). The door to the courts, and the front door to the clubhouse remain locked when not in use, so if you intend to use them for private games, you need to contact Carl at carlfinlay30@gmail.com to get a set of keys. These have a fee of £8 for adults (two keys), and £5 for Juniors  of 13yrs and over for the gate key.

Can I bring a guest to the club?

Yes! We ask that they make a small contribution of £2 (or £1 for junior) per visit. Please sign them in to the guest book, and put the contribution in the tin on the table in the clubhouse.

A non-member may attend a maximum of three times per year, unless attending coaching.

What days are social tennis?

See the Social Tennis tab for this information! In short, they run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm, Saturdays from 1pm and Sundays from 10am (mens practice).

If these dates and times are inconvenient for you, we also have a WhatsApp group for finding someone to play with- please get in touch to join the group!

How do I book a court?

Courts can only be booked by members. The booking system can be found on the Booking tab. Bookings can be made between the hours of 8am-10pm. You are welcome to show up and play without a booking, however pre-booked events will take priority.

Please use the contact information found on the Club Teams tab to get in touch with the team captain of the team you are considering joining! We have a variety of singles and doubles teams at different skill levels; there should be something for everyone.
