About Us

From humble beginnings, Rhiwbina Tennis Club has grown to become one of the most successful tennis clubs in Wales. Punching well above its weight, Rhiwbina Tennis Club can now boast over 470 members and a large number of competitive club teams which participate in summer and winter leagues in men's, ladies and vets formats.

Despite being a relatively small tennis club, by 2015 we have become one of the strongest clubs in Wales. An impressive journey only possible with dedicated members who share an incredible passion for tennis. The club is enthusiastic about delivering tennis for all age groups including tots, mini, junior, adults and vets. Winner of 7 Tennis Wales Awards 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. The facilities at the club have benefited from major investment in recent years. The dedicated committee of 10 members has invested over £110,000 in new facilities, which includes 4hard courts, 3 artifical clay courts and pavilion. With this investment the club has become an excellent tennis venue for the local community.

The club his now one of the most competitive clubs in Wales,  including AEGON British League (Regional Tier), Summer Premier League and Division 1 Winter League teams. It is one of only 3 clubs in Wales to offer such competitive tennis for both Men’s and Ladies teams. Over the last few years the club has won several promotions and titles in AEGON/Summer and Winter leagues and is committed to improving every season.

Coaching at the club has also been significantly expanded. The club provides playing opportunities for all ages groups and players of all standards. A team of 5 coaches and a number of tennis leaders are delivering 40 weekly coaching sessions for members to enjoy.
