After a wind-swept, snow-stormed, ice-laiden and very, very, very occasionally sunny winter calendar of fixtures the men's mid-week 3rd team finished joint top of the Surrey League. 

Congratulations to everyone involved including;
Tony Parker, Hugh Thomas, Tony Hall, Ray Cullen, Charles Soden-Bird, Joe Mariano.

Not only for such high standards of tennis and shivalry but also for overcoming personal bodily challenges including (but not limited) to;

• Misaligned shoulder joints

• Dislocated knee caps

• High blood pressure

• Low blood pressure

• Lack of body hair coverage in the cold

• Stiff wrists

• Back spasms

A particular mention has to go to the newest 3rd team recruit, Oliver Pimblett, who dispite several complaints from opposition (that he could actually run and was under the age of 75!) provided some 1st class power shots as well as impeccable dress sense.

The weekend 3rd team were runners up in their league so big well done to all the guys including as above plus;

Thank you Tony Hall for repeatidly achieving the difficult task of getting 4 men in one place at the correct time and venue (and very occasionally remembering which league fixture it was)!
