Two local youngsters have taken the step from playing tennis at Ross Tennis Centre, to becoming LTA Accredited tennis coaches. Alastair is a Level 2 coach and is trying for his Level 3 soon. In early May, Livi should achieve Level 1 which means she will be qualified to act as an assistant coach. She then plans to carry on to Level 2 accreditation which will enable her to run independent sessions for young children.
Steve Barnett, head coach at Ross Tennis Centre is proud of the young adults, “They have both worked very hard and they should be proud of achieving these milestones. They have a lot of potential both on and off the tennis court!”, he added.
There are over 50 youngsters in various programmes at Ross Tennis Centre, and so having coaches Alastair and Livi there will be good experience for them, and the children!
Ross Tennis Centre has many classes for all ages, from beginners through to more experienced players. Check out the Coaching page on website for further details www.rosstenniscentre.org.uk
