Club Rules and Regulations

Members should be aware that they use the courts at their own risk and that the club accepts no responsibility for any injury or loss howsoever caused.

1. The name of the club to be ROWINGTON LAWN TENNIS CLUB.
2. The financial year to be January 1st to December 31st.
The Annual General Meeting to be held as soon as practicable after the end of the financial year, when a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee normally of eight members shall be elected.
3. The committee shall have power to deal with all matters relating to the Club.
4. All subscriptions to be paid before 31 st May. Members shall not be entitled to exercise the privileges of membership until these are paid.
5. Junior members may not hold office or be entitled to vote.
6. Visitors must be introduced by a member, and names entered in the Visitor’s Book. The introducing member will be held responsible for payment. Each visitor allowed only three times in any ONE season. The introducing member should write their name on the envelope containing the fee as well as entering the name of his visitor and signing the book.
7. Visitors’ fee shall be £3 for adults and £1 for children.
8. Members shall wear suitable tennis dress. Only regulation shoes shall be worn on the courts
9. The Club shall provide four balls per court for official Club events.
10. In the event of a number of players waiting, only short sets shall be played.
11. Junior members will be asked to give way to adult members if a court is not free.
12. Members playing in matches shall contribute towards the cost of entertaining the visiting team.
13. The committee kindly ask all members to loosen the nets every time after playing on the courts.
