Meet The Coaches

Rory Smith: Head Coach

Rory started his coaching journey 13 years ago here at Salisbury Lawn Tennis Club. At the age of 22, Rory created his own coaching business working primarily as the master of tennis at Warminster School in Wiltshire.

Rory is passionate about coaching all levels of the game. From tots’ tennis to seniors, Rory enjoys conveying what he has learnt as a player and watching his pupils progress.

In his time at Warminster Rory has coached players from beginner to national standard, and he is thoroughly looking forward to developing a successful program here at the club for both juniors and adults.

As a tennis player Rory has won every possible age group of county championships, and is now still a keen member of both the Salisbury, and Wiltshire adult teams. We don’t believe that all good coaches still need to be competing, however its brilliant for our members to be able to watch our coaches displaying their skills and enthusiasm out on the courts.

Rory is just completing his level 3 LTA coaching qualifictaion and is available for group, or individual coaching.
