Sellindge Tennis Club

Sellindge Tennis Club is located in Swan Lane, Sellindge, between Hythe and Ashford in Kent.

• We enjoy being part of the Sellindge Sports and Social Club and their facilities including a clubhouse, play park, Bowls Club and large football field.

• Members who join the Sellindge Tennis Club also automatically become members of our modern social club which offers food and drink at 'Club' prices. 
• We currently have two outdoor, floodlit macadam hard courts which were resurfaced in November 2021.
• We are one of the few LTA clubs in the area that include the cost of the floodlights within the yearly membership subscription.
• Our club has gained a reputation for being friendly and welcoming, catering for players of all ages and abilities. 
• We run a number of adult social sessions to encourage social play, allowing our members to get to know each other better.  Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7.30 pm are reserved for a more relaxed game of tennis. These are ideal for adults of beginner to intermediate standard or for those who are returning to tennis after a break.  We also have two day time socials on a Tuesday from 9.15 until 11 am and a session called the 'Sellindge Not So Seniors' with the emphasis on social play for the over 60s.  The get together from 10-12 each Wednesday. 
• If you are competitive and are interested in playing in doubles matches then we run team practices on Monday evenings. The club provides tennis balls for these match practice sessions. So all you need to do is turn up and play, providing you bring your own racket of course!
• We compete in the Dover (summer league) and Ashford District Leagues for Mens, Mixed and Ladies.  
• For those of you who wish to improve or fine-tune your tennis skills the club offers coaching. Check out the Coaching section of our website for their contact details. 
• The STC was awarded LTA Club of the Year 2021 and was highly commended in the areas of  best development coach - Nick Skelton and volunteer support.
