Shepley Tennis Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities – from beginners who want to learn how to play tennis to those striving for top club standard.

Shepley Tennis Club is based in the village of Shepley in Huddersfield. With almost 100 members we are small enough to be friendly, but large enough to offer a wide range of coaching, social and league tennis.
Our facilities include two floodlight carpet courts and a third which has recently been built (currently without floodlights), and a newly clad clubhouse.
The club caters for a wide range of standards and abilities from Div 1 level players to beginners. We are active in a wide range of men's, women's and mixed winter leagues in Huddersfield. We have a very active junior section with coaching from Mini red, Mini orange and Green ball. We also have inter club tournaments for juniors run throughout the year.

Club Information 

Whether you are looking to play league tennis or just wanting a friendly game with the family, why not come along and see what we are about.  The club welcomes new members of all ages from experienced players to beginners and rusty returners.

If you are interested in match play we have teams which compete in the Huddersfield League in the Summer and Winter.

Men

Matches - Tuesday 6:30pm  (and Alternate Thursday's)

Practice - Sunday 10am

Ladies

Matches - Monday 6:30pm

Practice - Saturday 3pm

Juniors

Coaching - Wednesday

4-5pm: age 5-8

5-6pm: age 8-10 & age 10-12

​6-7pm: 12+

Shepley Tennis Club is an LTA Registered Venue

We offer a safe and inclusive venue in which to play tennis.

As part of our commitment to this we have various policies including Safeguarding and Diversity & Inclusion.

In addition, the Club has a fully qualified Welfare Officer and our coaching staff have fully up to date DBS checks.
