Latest COVID-19 information

From Monday 16 th August restrictions regarding  self isolation have changed (see Government and Department of Health and Social Care guidelines). There are no restrictions as to how many people can take part in tennis activities and we are fortunate this is a naturally distant sport that is relatively low risk.

Individuals should be mindful of changes in government requirements regarding self isolation and their advise regarding the taking of a PCR test if close contact is made with a positive Covid 19 case . Self isolation will be a legal requirement if such a test is positive. The STC board are mindful of LTA and government guidelines and continue to monitor any changes that are recommended . We want to reduce the risk of transmission and to this end we would suggest that club members, their guests and other visitors to the courts:

  1.  Carry out self assessment for COVID symptoms (high temperature , new continuous cough and loss or change to sense of smell and taste)
  2. Be aware of self isolation requirements (as per NHS guidelines)
  3. Consider the wishes of other participants eg they may not wish to shake hands after a match
  4. Follow good hygiene practices including not sharing water bottles or equipment .

For the time being STC will provide on court hand sanitizer. Please remember the Hospitality guidelines whislt visiting the Cafe.
