The East Head and Ella Nore Walk
The Autumn Walk took our merry band of walkers to a stretch of the coast which is extremely popular in summer but fortunately much quieter and hence more enjoyable in the winter season: the Witterings.
The walk in question was the East Head and Ella Nore walk which embraces both sandy beach and dunes and areas rich in wildlife. This was a gentle walk on a section of the alluvial plain south of Chichester. We were lucky to be led by a club member who lives in the area.
Here we are bathed in sunshine at the Ella Nore spit.
