We struck gold on Sunday, 15th January with a day characterised by bright sunshine and a not too gentle crosswind to keep us on our toes!

That at least was the consensus of the 16 players who took part in the first Social Tournament of the year, using a match format based on time rather than the number of games. Players had 20 mins to win as many games as possible before moving on to their next assignation with new players.

Top scorers produced a familiar face on the men’s side in Brian Foster (with Will Doherty the runner-up) and a new face on the women’s front in Sam Morris (with Miriam McCloud the runner-up).
