The Club has a new Singles champion. In a hard-fought final match characterised by some vigorous baseline play punctuated by powerful winning shots, and with most games going to deuce, the indomitable Clive Pailing succeeded in beating his formidable opponent, Richie Hampshire.

In the Plate event for players who were unsuccessful in Round 1, it was one of the Club’s new members, Dipak Ghosh, who emerged triumphant.

In all, 12 members took part in the competition which took place on Sunday, 14th May in glorious sunshine.
