Stamfordian Will Cutforth is to replace Felix Beech as Head Coach at Stamford Tennis Club. Will (pictured below left) forms part of the growing Rutland-based tennis coaching group led by Dan Potter (below right).
Among a sizeable to-do list, Will is to arrange junior coaching sessions, mini-tennis tournaments and fun days for juniors. Adult coaching sessions are to include weekly sessions for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. We can also expect to see Will as the key organiser for our annual club championship and he is to organise an open tennis day once per year. He is sure to become a familiar face on court in quick time.
Will is a dedicated tennis coach with over five years of professional coaching experience and a lifelong passion for the game. His journey with tennis began at age 10 at Stamford Tennis Club, where he took his first lesson and quickly developed a love for the sport. As a junior, Will competed at the regional level, refining the skills and techniques that now form the foundation of his coaching approach.
At STC, Will’s ambition is to inspire players at all levels by fostering a competitive yet welcoming atmosphere. He is passionate about developing not only competitive tennis players but also a strong, inclusive community where players feel motivated and supported to reach their full potential.
